MonTango, led by Tom and Georgia Montgomery, well-known Bay Area jazz pianist and vocalist, performs the music of leading Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla -- subject of the Broadway musical, Forever Tango. The two immersed themselves in this stirring and impassioned music, Tom becoming an accomplished player of the Argentine bandoneon accordion. MonTango recreates Piazzolla' s classic New Tango quintet with guitarist Matt Montgomery, violinist Vanessa Montgomery, and bassist Michael Knapp, plus acclaimed dance duo, Annastacia and Count.
