Frank Yamma is an extraordinary songwriter and exceptional guitarist, with a rich, deep and resonant voice. A traditional Pitjantjatjara man from Australia' s central desert, Frank was born into a leading musical family; his father, Kunmanara Yamma was a pioneer in the composition and translation of Pitjantjatjara songs. Frank carries on this legacy, bringing his vision and talent to the world with powerful songs of his land and its ways and stories. On his most recent album, the award-winning, Playing with Fire (CAAMA), Frank proudly displays his Aboriginal roots while effortlessly drawing from South American, Jamaican, African and jazz influences to create his own brand of world music.
