With modern sensibilities, virtuoso musicianship, and great humor, the San Francisco Klezmer Experience rocks the house with its infectious blend of Bay-Area-roots-klezmer, Yiddish folk and art song, and improvisational jazz. Led by violinist Daniel Hoffman, the band -- clarinetist Sheldon Brown, tsimbalist Stuart Brotman, singer and accordionist Jeanette Lewicki, bassist Richard Saunders, trombonist Charlie Seavey, percussionist Kevin Mummey, trumpeter Stephen Saxon -- performs new compositions including Daniel' s score for the 1925 Soviet classic silent film, Jewish Luck, which premiered at the recent San Francisco Jewish Film Festival.
