Rumi's poetry, filled with passion, mystery, drama, and humor, resonates for modern audiences with its expressions of universal longings for beauty, connection, and joy. Joining Dale and Dane Zola, organizers of tonight's event, the Great Night of Rumi features Doug Von Koss, Chetana Karel, Maya Spector, Una Schaef, and Carolyn Zola, accompanied by flutist Ernie Mansfield and Claude Palmer on oud. Singer, Kirsten Falke, makes a special appearance performing songs from her album The Breeze at Dawn: Poems of Rumi in Song. |
