Moving with equal grace through folk, country, and Hispanic idioms, Tish Hinojosa makes the boundaries between cultures, languages, and musical genres disappear. Her latest album, Sign of Truth (Rounder) is a collection of her originals -- richly detailed, delicious slices of life. A native of San Antonio who now resides in Austin, Tish remains committed to her own style and cultural roots. As she herself put it, "I still take to the road clinging to the culture, my native tongue wanting to speak and weep and sing.
