Bay Area trio Golden Bough bring a fresh feel and expert hand to haunting ballads, beautiful airs, and lively songs from the Celtic regions. With a repertoire rooted in the traditional music of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the Isle of Man, French Brittany, and Spanish Galicia, these modern-day minstrels expand upon these styles with intriguing arrangements and original compositions.

Paul Espinoza, Margie Butler, and Kathy Sierra blend their voices in pristine three-part harmony, backing themselves on an array of acoustic instruments (Celtic harp, guitar, octave mandolin, mandolin, accordion, violin, pennywhistle, and bodhran). Their recent double CD, Down by the Greenwood, celebrates Golden Bough's three-decade history of music making with a selection of early songs from the trio's early recordings.
