The Freight is available for rent to the public for concerts and events. Our venue seats 490 and features a state of the art sound system from Meyer Sound Labs. Located two blocks from the UC Berkeley campus and half a block from BART in the heart of the Downtown Berkeley Arts District, it’s ideal for concerts, lectures, business meetings and fundraisers.
The rental fee includes use of the concert venue and adjacent lobby, an event manager, and a sound engineer. Pricing varies according to the duration and scope of the event. Availability is contingent on the Freight’s concert schedule.
